Description

Brewed by the monks at Mount St Bernard Abbey, Tynt Meadow is England’s only Trappist beer, and it feels every bit as special as that suggests.

It pours a deep, dark brown with a soft tan head. The aroma is rich with chocolate, a touch of liquorice, and hints of dark fruit. On the palate it is smooth and full-bodied, with layers of roasted coffee, cocoa, and gentle nuttiness, balanced by a subtle peppery edge. Despite its strength at 7.4%, it remains refined and never overwhelming, finishing dry and gently warming.

Everything about it is carefully considered. It is brewed with English ingredients and fermented in both tank and bottle, which adds depth and allows the flavour to develop over time if you choose to cellar it.

More than just a beer, Tynt Meadow reflects the quiet, deliberate life of the monks who make it. It is the kind of drink to take your time with, best enjoyed slowly when you actually want to notice what you are drinking.
