Description

Tynt Meadow Blond is the lighter counterpart to England’s only Trappist beer, brewed by the monks at Mount St Bernard Abbey. It keeps the same roots as the original, but takes things in a brighter, more refreshing direction.

In the glass, it pours a clear golden colour with a soft white head. The aroma is fresh and inviting, with gentle citrus notes like lemon zest and orange, alongside a hint of vanilla sweetness.

On the palate, it is crisp and easy-drinking, with flavours of mandarin, light malt, and a touch of sherbet-like sweetness. There is a subtle bitterness from the hops that keeps everything balanced, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.

At 5% ABV, it is lighter and more approachable than the original dark ale, making it well suited to warmer days or more casual drinking. Despite that, it still carries the care and tradition of Trappist brewing, using English ingredients and time-honoured methods to create something simple on the surface but quietly complex underneath.

Tynt Meadow Blond feels like a modern extension of the monastery’s brewing tradition. It is easy to enjoy, but still has enough character to keep your attention from start to finish.
